What is Giving Tuesday?

#GivingTuesday is a global movement harnessing the power of people and organizations to make a difference in their communities. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and offers donors a chance to make an impact in their community.

How Can You Help?

On Giving Tuesday, by donating here to Family Promise of Morris County and Homeless Solutions, you're supporting the residents of our Promising Solutions program.

In partnership with Morris Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise of Morris County and  Homeless Solutions, Inc. launched Promising Solutions (PS) in early 2021. PS is a housing program that offers safe, affordable, shared housing for up to 32 single women in Morris County.

Promising Solutions came at a pivotal time for this population, as the pandemic's negative effects created a 400% increase in need for housing and outreach services within Morris County.

Although life has regained a sense of normalcy for many, the pandemic's long-lasting repercussions continue to impact our most vulnerable neighbors day after day. Nearly 5% of Americans remain unemployed, while many others are underemployed. Through case management services, Promising Solutions offers residents the chance to further their education, focus on maintaining steady employment, and improving their physical and mental health without worrying about where they'll sleep at night.

How Will My Donation Be Used?

Last year, 41.2% of Morris County's homeless population were women.

All funds raised on Giving Tuesday will directly support the women in our Promising Solutions program, who can regain self-sufficiency and financial independence with your support. Your donation is incredibly impactful in the lives of our residents, who now have a safe space to call home.
