On Thursday, July 29, from 11:30AM - 3PM, Family Promise of Morris County's Our Promise Drop-in Center is celebrating the expansion of its pandemic hours and services with a day of summer fun.
In 2020, as indoor gatherings were no longer safe due to the pandemic, we reduced Our Promise's hours and made some changes to our indoor services. By offering services in virtual and/or outdoor spaces, such as handing out mail on the lawn and holding virtual case management meetings, we're proud to say that we've maintained the health and safety of our guests while continuing to serve their needs.
In 2020, 59 households were served and 2,948 face-to-face contacts were made through Our Promise! And now that it's a bit safer to do so, we're slowly transitioning back with our extension of hours and services.
Outreach Day will be held on the front lawn of the First Baptist Church of Morristown, located at 51 Washington Ave, Morristown, NJ. Drop by to enjoy food and drinks from local restaurants, play games, and join our Our Promise staff for a day of summer fun. We hope to see you there!
